Banana Smoothie

Note: This recipe contains almond butter

Smoothies are a great way to get your daily fruit servings. Bananas are high in fiber and antioxidants which help protect against cancer and heart disease. Almond butter is high in monounsaturated fats, which help to lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol. Other nutrients it has also help improve heart health and lower the risk for heart disease.

Smoothies are also convenient, healthy, and can help you get the nutrients you need in a simple way that doesn't require much effort. Bananas go great by themselves (or with almond butter), making smoothies incredibly creamy and sweet — without any added sugar. Plus, with just four ingredients, you can whip up this delicious breakfast or post-workout snack in no time at all.

Happy blending!

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas, cut into chunks

  • 2 cups milk (any type)

  • 1/2 cup almond butter

  • Honey

  • Ice

Steps:

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a blender.

Step 2

Blend until smooth. (If it is too thick, add water; if it is too watery, add more ice.)

Step 3

Pour into glasses and enjoy!

And there you have it! A delicious Banana Smoothie. You can try different variations such as adding a dash of vanilla extract, protein powder or cinnamon. The possibilities are endless and I hope you enjoy experimenting with them as much as I do!
